Trivial things learned from perusing an online newspaper database for this town:

My father & two of my uncles were All State & All American football players
My grandmother won $10.00 from Eagle Foods in 1966.
My grandfather built the original homestead in 1940.
He liked to drive fast.
He commanded a machine gun squad in WWI.
One uncle was heavyweight boxing champ of the air force.
Another one was state wrestling champion in high school.
My great-grandfather held a lot of dinner parties in the mid 1920's.
My grandmother sang on local radio about the same time.
My house was built in 1950 for $8000.00
The house I grew up in sold for $16,900 in 1963.
