All that is missing are corpses...

Spent Saturday AM helping to clean flood damaged houses in the Time Check area. The streets are lined with debris, the only thing I can compare it to is pictures of cities in Germany during WWII after extensive bombing. We worked on the homes of a couple senior citizens who had lost everything...one old lady was intent on salvaging the jellies and preserves she had put up in her basement, after they had spent 4 days in the fetid flood waters. The complete contents of these homes, the most valued possessions ruined & dumped unceremoniously curbside. Only impermeable things, glass, ceramic & steel, were salvageable. Mercifully, all that is missing are corpses...
